Olivia is an Accredited Specialist (Family Law) and has practiced exclusively in Family Law since her admission as a solicitor.
Olivia has experience in all facets of family law including property and parenting matters, international and domestic relocation, recovery of children, matters involving serious allegations of family violence, drug and alcohol and mental health issues, contravention and enforcement of orders, child support, spouse maintenance, divorce, de facto property and questions of jurisdiction.
Olivia has acted in cases which have set legal precedent in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and Family Court of Australia and has been successful in matters before the Full Court of the Family Court of Australia on appeal. Olivia also has experience with international jurisdictions including Singapore, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Dubai, Qatar and the British Virgin Islands.
Before joining Broun Abrahams Burreket, Olivia was a Senior Associate at a leading boutique family law firm, where she worked for over eleven years. Olivia graduated with Honours in Law from Macquarie University along with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology, which enables her to serve her clients with patience, empathy and understanding. Olivia also has a Master of Laws majoring in Family Law and is a Graduate Fellow of the College of Law.
Olivia communicates clearly and directly with her clients and provides strategic and commercially sound advice. She strives to achieve negotiated, efficient, cost effective and sensible resolutions wherever possible and minimise the emotional distress experienced.
