Ryan holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and was the recipient of a number of Law awards including in International Law and Evidence Law, areas which remain topics of interest. Since Ryan’s admission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia, he has practiced almost exclusively in the area of family law.
Ryan provides advice to clients on a range of family law issues including divorce, de-facto relationships, Binding Financial Agreements and complex property and parenting matters. Ryan regularly appears as an advocate in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and has experience appearing in a number of other jurisdictions, including the Local and District Courts and the Supreme Court of New South Wales in Probate and Family Provisions matters.
Ryan brings with him several years of experience working within the mental health and drug and alcohol sectors. This experience affords him a deeper understanding of the complexities associated with those issues should they arise. Ryan is committed to providing pragmatic, timely and concise advice to his clients and maintains an empathetic and understanding approach when guiding his clients through the complex and emotionally difficult outcomes often associated with family breakdown.
